How it Works

A Clear Path Forward When the Home Becomes Part of the Transition

Moving a loved one into senior care can bring many decisions at once. When there is also a home to manage, families may feel unsure where to begin.

ClearPath Home Solutions helps families understand their options, organize the home side of the transition,
and choose the path that makes the most sense for their situation.

There is no pressure and no obligation to sell the home to us.

Let's Connect
Step 1

Start With a Conversation

Tell us what is happening with your loved one and the property. We will ask a few straightforward questions:

  • Is the home occupied or vacant?
  • Is the senior moving permanently into care?
  • Who has the legal authority to make property decisions?
  • Is the home filled with belongings?
  • Are repairs, taxes, utilities or other expenses becoming a concern?
  • Does the family have a preferred timeline?

This first conversation is simply to understand the situation and identify the most useful next step.

Step 2

Review the Home and the Family's Needs

Every situation is different. Some families need help understanding how to approach the belongings. Others need moving, cleanout or property support. Some want to list the home traditionally, while others prefer a direct as-is sale.

We help identify the practical issues surrounding the home and create a clearer picture of what must be handled.

Step 3

Understand the Available Options

Depending on the circumstances, the family may decide to:

  • Keep the home for the time being
  • Prepare and list it with a real estate professional
  • Coordinate downsizing, moving or cleanout assistance
  • Sell the home directly to ClearPath in its current condition

We explain what ClearPath can provide and encourage families to consult their attorney, Medicaid advisor, tax professional or other trusted advisor when appropriate.

Step 4

Move Forward on the Family's Timeline

If the family chooses a direct sale, ClearPath can evaluate the property and present a written as-is offer. There are no required repairs, showings or cleanout. Closing can be coordinated around the family's needs, subject to title, legal authority and the terms of the agreement.

If another option is more appropriate, the family remains free to choose it.

What Families Can Expect

  • A respectful, no-pressure conversation
  • Clear communication
  • Practical assistance with the home side of the transition
  • A direct as-is sale option when appropriate
  • Flexibility around belongings and closing
  • Encouragement to involve trusted professional advisors
